Location Narrative ? This stand is located in the understory of a Pinus sabiniana stand described in an adjacent rapid assessment , which is on a NW-facing slope just about the shoreline. The stand is characterized by a very rocky serpentine substrate with a few particular species: Allium sp., Pentagramma triangularis, and perhaps a unique hydrological circumstance in wetter months. The rock substrate seems to be a mix of serpentine and other things. The true nature of the parent material is complex and unknown.; The Pinus sabiniana stand is mature and well-established, and the surrounding shrubs are increasing. Allium sp. seems well-established in this stand given its vigor and high percent cover. There is grazing on this property, but this stand does not seem to be heavily impacted.
